When singer Rhianna’s second annual Diamond Ball fundraiser takes place on Dec. 10, it will include two major talents. Singer/songwriter Lionel Richie will perform and actor/comedian Kevin Hart will host the event, which raises money for Rhianna’s Clara Lionel Foundation. Founded on 2012, the CLF is named in honor of Rhianna’s grandparents and “works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture”. Rhianna said in a statement, “I’m so proud of the work that Clara Lionel Foundation has done in it’s first year and can’t wait to celebrate with the iconic Lionel Richie and the incredibly talented Kevin Hart at this year’s Diamond Ball”, Rhianna said in a statement. The event will also see Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino given the inaugural Diamond Honors Award for the entertainment company’s philanthropic work. With Jimmy Kimmel serving as host and Rhianna performing, last year’s Diamond Ball raised more than $2 million to provide equipment for a hospital in Rhianna’s homeland of Barbados. This year’s event will take place at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. Virginia rapper Pusha T has been named president of G.O.O.D Music, founded by rapper Kanye West, according to Billboard Magazine. The decision was four months in the making. Joining Pusha T will be his manager Steven Victor, as A&R. The rapper has an album titled “King Push” due soon. Maybach Music Group artist Rockie Fresh has kept quiet for the past 365, but the 24-year-old rapper has been busy working on his debut album via Atlantic Records and MMG. On his comeback release, the Chicago native stated that he’ll be waxing poetic about struggling as a new artist and documenting the process through songs that reflect a series of nights in his life. No word on when the album will be released.
