Music mogul Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs plays hard but works harder. After releasing his mixtape “MMM” on his birthday, Wednesday Nov. 4, the Bad Boy Records CEO has released the visual for the hustler’s anthem “Workin”. With a hook that would serve as the perfect 2015 away message, Mr. Combs lets his squad’s work speak for itself. “Before I used to make records when I made music. Then I decided to make culture. And as I got older, I decided I’m going to make fashion. Ladies and gentlemen, listen and watch some fashion”, Combs told a crowd of label executives, press and socialites at a preview event before the release of “MMM”. “Workin” appears on the free project, with contributions from Big Sean and Travi$. Puff Daddy and the Family are currently putting the finishing touches on his final album, “No Way Out 2”. Rapper Drake’s highly anticipated new album “Views From The 6” could ring in the new year. According to a mysterious tweet posted on the Daily Rap’s Twitter account, “Views From The 6” could hit the internet on Jan. 6, 2016. The album will follow a banner year for the Toronto native, whose surprise joint album with Future, “What A Time To Be Alive”, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon it’s September 20 release. It’s been quite some time since songstress Mila J released a proper album, but she makes a formal return to the spotlight with her new mixtape “The Waiting Game”. On her first project since 2014’s “Made In LA”, the Motown Records signee not only rides the beats co-produced by herself and Immanual Rich, Eric Cire and Mars Detail, she also moves between rapping and serenading. She puts her spin on Drake and Future’s “Diamonds”, The Weeknds’s “Tell Your Friends’ and Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t”. Future also appears on the track “Freaknic”. The artist stated in an interview that since fans hadn’t heard any new music from her in some time, she wanted to drop the EP while she works on her next album, due to be released in 2016.
